Back On The Hair Of The Dog

Now that BB06 is over, and Jamie and his purple headed womb ferret are making friends with Katie's virginal beef curtains why not do yourself a favour and get on down to the Empress.

Join myself and Georgie for a night of unadulterated rock and roll trivia. For those that used to come every Sunday, come and reacquaint yourselves, we have missed you all terribly so. Slabs and six packs to be one, and if you end up on Jess Ausculture's team you will almost certainly be guaranteed something. The girl is a whizz.

So come on down, this Sunday at 8pm, the Empress Of India, 714 Nicholson Street, Nth Fitzroy.

Go here for your starter for five.

Argh! I was looking forward to a victorious return to Sunday night trivia but I've been offered a last minute shift at The East and I need the bucks, big time!

Next week I shall be there. Swears.

Even an ignorant wide-eyed seppo can win slabs if he is put on Jess Ausculture's team. For the record I did know answers to two of the many questions. Jess' brain just works faster pussycat, kill kill.

"The term "meme" (IPA: [miːm], not "mem"), coined in 1976 by Richard Dawkins, refers to a replicator of cultural information that one mind transmits (verbally or by demonstration) to another mind. Dawkins said, Examples of memes are tunes, catch-phrases, clothes fashions, ways of making pots or of building arches. Other examples include deities, concepts, ideas, theories, opinions, beliefs, practices, habits, dances and moods which propagate within a culture."
